There are a handful of good cricket bat makers in the UK and each one would probably say bat making is tough and dedication to the craft is essential. Dedication, I know, has to be built into the psyche of the maker and only then quality will follow. I believe with a passion that good bat making comes from knowledgeable individuals and not from add-on engraving, personalisation and over confident sellers waxing lyrical.
